We love lawns, and here in the Pacific Northwest we grow some of the finest lawns anywhere. Our cool, moist climate keeps things green almost year round, and it’s not unusual for Northwesteners to be mowing their lawns just before the guests & family come over for Christmas!

One of my favorite forms of relaxation is mowing the lawn. I have a trusty old Ariens heavy-duty push mower that was made for our wet climate. It will cut wet grass like a champ except in the most extreme circumstances. I can mow my lawn the day after we’ve had flooding rains and there’s no jam-ups, while my neighbors have to wait a week or more.

I’m a big fan of DOFOLLOW comments, and this site is designed that way. I want to encourage dialog from fellow lawn-lovers and reward regular contributors.
